AWARDS/PALMARES de la 13ème édition du Fantastic Film and Wine Festival (GROSSMANN FESTIVAL 2017)

Samedi 15 juillet 2017 s'est achevé la XIIIème édition du Fantastic Film and Wine Festival, autrement appelé Grossmann 2017, dont voici le palmarès :

Vicious Cat du meilleur film : THE NIGHT OF THE VIRGIN (La Noche del Virgen) de Roberto San Sébastian (Espagne)

"It is a disgusting movie, but it's made by people who understand thoroughly the storytelling and are great filmmakers with a fantastic talent and a lot of guts to produce a movie which is so intensely extreme in the form that it's explored."

Mention spéciale : RON GOOSSENS, LOW BUDGET STUNTMAN de Steffen Haars et Flip Van der Kuil (Pays-Bas)

"It's a fresh, new and very humorous look into what genre films can also be."

Noisy Cat de la meilleure musique pour un documentaire : SPIT'N'SPLIT de Jérôme Vandeattyne (Belgique). Le film avait été présenté au dernier Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF)

"Spit'n'Split is a cinematically convincing and authentic portrayal of the life and death of an archetypal underground band on tour. All praise goes to the director for his efficient use of mockumentarism that enhances the emotional dynamics between the band members - the essence of the film. For the viewer, the furious finale reinforces a strong sense of a complete whole that is brought forth by the mockumentary dimension. Multiple viewings are recommended for all bands that are still getting ready to start the van and embark on a tour."

"The award is given for the quality craftmanship, political undertone and great ending."

Méliès d'Argent du meilleur court-métrage fantastique européen : UNDER THE APPLE TREE de Erik van Schaaik (Belgique / Pays-Bas)

"The award is given for the overall quality of the film, the humor and the exuberance."

Vicious Cat Wine Champion du meilleur vin : PINOT GRIS 2015

Félicitation à The Night of the Virgin de Roberto San Sabastian qui succède à Scherzo Diabolico de Adrian Garcia Bogliano, ainsi qu'à Under The Apple Tree de Erik van Schaaik.

Tout comme l'année précédente Quenottes de Pascal Thiebaux et Gil Pinheiro, Under The Apple Tree concourt pour le Méliès d'Or, cette année au Festival de Science-Fiction de Trieste.
